STATEMENT

Regarding the accreditation of professional journalists practicing on behalf of an entity subject to foreign law to cover the election of members of the National People’s Assembly on July 2nd, 2026

 

     In the event of the ongoing preparations for the election of members of the National People’s Assembly on July 2nd, 2026, and in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 dated 26 Rajab, 1442, corresponding to March 10th, 2021, regarding the Organic Law relating to the electoral system, as amended and supplemented, and the Executive Decree No. 14-152 dated 30 Jumada Il, 1435, corresponding to April 30th, 2014, specifying the procedures for accrediting professional journalists practicing on behalf of an entity subject to foreign law, and in accordance with Decision No. 228 of the Chairman of the Independent National Election Authority dated 18 Dhu al-Hijah, 1447, corresponding to June 4th, 2026, specifying the procedures for accrediting professional journalists practicing on behalf of an entity subject to foreign law, the Independent National Election Authority informs professional journalists of an Algerian or a foreign nationality practicing the profession on behalf an entity subject to foreign law, that they may submit an accreditation application to cover the election of members of the National People’s Assembly to the Algerian diplomatic mission or consular representation in the country Where the registered office of the employing body subject to foreign law is located, from June 4th, 2026, to June 20th, 2026, by submitting the following documents:

  1. A request issued by the employing body of the professional journalist;
  2. An information form to be downloaded from the Independent Authority’s website via the following link:      www.ina-elections.dz      ACCR-FORM-2026 
  1. A visa application form, which can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, and from the websites of Algerian diplomatic and consular missions abroad, to be completed by the applicant;
  2. A copy of the applicant’s professional card;
  3. Two (2) passport-size photos;
  4. A copy of the applicant’s passport;
  5. A list of technical equipment.
