Fourth, Mr. Ambassador met with Algerian students of the University of Limerick in a festive atmosphere.

The meeting was a double opportunity.

• The first is to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the glorious Algerian Revolution.

• The second was to launch the activity of an association of a scientific and cultural nature called: “Limerick Irish Algerian Friendship”.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a presentation by students on some aspects that reflect the richness of Algeria’s natural and cultural diversity.

At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Ambassador delivered a speech dedicated to the relations and ties between the two countries.

He also thanked the students for their diligence and good conduct and for giving an honourable image about their country, which they represented best.

In the end, Mr. Ambassador paid a vibrant tribute to Chahrazad Chami, who was a student at the university. She passed away on august 16th, 2021.
