Who can apply for visa at the Embassy of Algeria in Dublin?

You can apply for visa if you are;

– An Irish citizen;

– A national of another country currently living in Ireland;

– A national of another country currently following your studies in Ireland.

Other nationals who visit Ireland as tourists need to apply for visa in their country of origin

 

Nationals who do not need a visa to travel to Algeria:

 Nationals of the following countries can Travel to Algeria without the need for a visa;

Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Seychelles and Tunisia.

Diplomatic Passport holders 

Nationals of the following countries travelling to Algeria with a diplomatic passport do not need a visa:

– Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Jordan and Romania.

Diplomatic and official Passport holders 

Nationals of the following countries holding diplomatic or official passports can travel Algeria without a visa:

– Albania, Benin, Brazil, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Guinea, Italy, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Niger, Peru, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Senegal, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Vietnam and Belarus

 

How to apply for the Algerian visa?  

– Applicants have to come to the Consular section and apply in person or on behalf   of their family members;

– Applications can be dropped off at the Embassy from Tuesday to Saturday during working   hours: 09:30 to 14:00. These business days are the same days for passports pick up.

 Fees:

– The visa fee for Irish citizens is 75 euros for single entry and 120 euros for multiple entries;

– All other nationals must check with the Embassy for the applicable requirements and fees.

– Rush fees are not applicable.

– We accept only cash.

 Important Information:

 Please read carefully the following instructions: 

– Incomplete applications will not be processed.
– Application form can be filled out on screen, printed and then dated and hand signed. Handwritten forms are also accepted. Photos should be glued on the box reserved for photo at the upper right side of the application form. You have to submit two copies of the application form with a glued photo on each copy.

– Applications with missing information will not be processed. Please fill out all the boxes.

– The processing time may vary according to the type of visa and nationality of the applicant.

– Date of issuance of the visa is the first day of validity of the visa. 

– The visa office may request additional documents other than what is listed in our website.

 

– Submitting all the required documentation does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.
– Passport must be validity of   at least six months.

Issued to diplomats or government officials holders of diplomatic Passports, official passports or UN laissez-passer.

Required documents:

 

  Diplomatic or official passport and a copy of the first page.  passport must be valid for at least six months.

  Two (02) copies of the application form  hand signed.    

– ID  photo must be glued ont the box at the upper right side of the form.

  Diplomatic note stating the applicant’s position and purpose of the visit.


Issued to businessmen, representatives, or employees of Irish or foreign companies who visit Algeria for business purposes.

NB: Holders of business visa are not permitted to work in Algeria and business visa cannot replace work visa.

Required documents:

  Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

  Two (02) copies of the application form dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

  Employer letter providing a brief presentation of the company and stating job title or position of the applicant and purpose of the visit. The company should assume financial responsibility of expenses incurred during the trip.

   Algerian partner’s or company’s local branch invitation letter.

 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).

 

Issued to applicants who want to visit Algeria for tourism purpose.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved  for it at the upper right side of the form.

  Hotel reservation, an invitation letter or travel agency’s invitation letter. Algerian host’s invitation letter can be notarized at the city hall in Algeria. Algerian host must provide a copy of his Algerian ID.

  A copy of round-trip flight ticket.

–  Statement of financial resources or proof of income.

 Letter of   employment. 

– The Embassy reserves  the right to ask for additional documents to be provided.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).

Delivered to members of an Algerian family.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Notarized invitation letter, in which the host commits to lodge and cover all the expenses. The host must provide also a copy of her/his Algerian ID.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).

 

 Spouses of Algerian citizens:

If you are a spouse of an Algerian citizen, please submit the following:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved  for it at the upper right side of the form.

– A copy of the Algerian spouse consular registration card, Algerian ID or passport.

  A copy of marriage certificate.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).


Citizens with dual citizenship

Algerians who hold expired Algerian passport and want to apply for a visa with their Irish passport need to submit the following:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– A copy of first and second page of expired Algerian passport, a copy of consular card or a copy of Algerian ID.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).

 Kids of Algerian citizens:

 If you are Algerian applying for your son or daughter holding an Irish passport, please submit the following:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– A copy of the consular registration card, Algerian ID or passport.

– A copy of the birth certificate of your son or daughte.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport)

Issued to foreign workers or employees of foreign companies assigned to work in Algeria.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Work permit delivered by an Algerian office of employment;

– Employment verification letter;

– Repatriation commitment letter in which the employer pledges to repatriate the employee upon terminating the contract. For more information, please check with the local office of employment.

 Temporary Work visa

temporary work visa holders can work for a period of 90 days or less.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months.

– Two (02) copies of the application form dated, and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Copy of employment contract.

– Temporary work authorization delivered by an Algerian office of employment.

– Employer letter stating the applicant job title or position and purpose of the visit and in which the employer pledges to cover all living expenses and to repatriate the employee upon terminating the contract

Issued to applicants who intend to visit Algeria for medical reasons.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least   six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form , dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Medical certificate and a letter from an Algerian healthcare clinic.

– Proof of financial resources.

Issued to applicants who would like to visit Algeria to participate in a cultural or scientific event.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form, dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Invitation letter;

– Statement of financial resources or proof of income.

A transit visa of a maximum duration of seven 07 days. issued to foreigners transiting through Algerian territory and holder of a visa of the country of destination.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form, dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Hotel reservation, notarized invitation letter;

– A copy of round-trip flight ticket;

– Statement of financial resources or proof of income.

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport)

Issued to representatives of foreign media or journalists.

Required documents:

 

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form , dated and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form

– Employment verification letter indicating job title or position of the applicant and purpose of the visit;

– A copy of professional card;

– When applicable, Algerian partner’s invitation letter;

– List of filming equipment;

– Program of the visit, list of persons to be interviewed and filming locations;

– 75 euros. For the time being we accept Cash only (for Irish Passport).

 

Issued to students who intend to study in Algeria.

Required documents:

– Passport and a copy of the first page. The passport must be valid for at least six months;

– Two (02) copies of the application form , date and hand signed. On each copy, please glue a photo on the box reserved for it at the upper right side of the form.

– Acceptance letter from Algerian educational institution;

– Copy of scholarship notification letter if any;

– Proof of financial resources;
