The Algerian agri-food industry is of extraordinary diversity, relying not only on major groups and well-known brands, but also on many SME. Today the food industry is on an upward trajectory and outlook for the future is bright promising. Between demographic growth (2% per year) and gain in purchasing power, demand is increasing by an average of 3 to 4% per year for all food products.
